Aries and Aquarius

Love

They attract each other with nerve and ideas. Aries brings the body and the now. Aquarius brings a future that is not just a repeat of the couple. Trouble starts if Aries needs more warmth than Aquarius offers on an ordinary night, or if Aquarius treats Aries's feelings as less real than a theory. Ask for closeness without calling the other person cold. Offer closeness without making it a merger.

Friendship

Strong. They will try an unconventional plan and defend each other's right to be blunt. Aries should not demand to be the favorite in every group. Aquarius should not disappear into the group and call it balance. One-to-one time is the maintenance.

Work

Aries executes. Aquarius redesigns the system so the execution matters. They are good at startups, campaigns, and reforms, and bad at workplaces that want quiet obedience. Decide whether you are there to ship or to reinvent, because they will pick different answers under stress.

Where it rubs

Aries takes distance personally. Aquarius takes demands for constant contact as a threat to autonomy. Both can be stubborn once a position is public.

What helps

• Schedule the together time and protect the alone time. Do not improvise either one every day.
• Aries, ask for affection in a concrete way. Aquarius will often do the thing if it is named.
• When you disagree about a principle, say whether the relationship itself is actually in question.
