Love

The attraction is straightforward and physical. They flirt by challenging each other, and the chemistry drops if one person becomes a manager. Jealousy shows up as a contest. Repair works when both can say 'I was sharp because I was scared' without turning the admission into another contest. A shared project with a finish line — a trip, a move, a team — gives the heat somewhere to go besides each other.

Friendship

As friends they are excellent company for a plan that happens today. They will defend each other loudly and forget a quiet favor. The friendship thins if it is only emergencies and sports. It lasts if they let each other be unimpressive and still text back.

Work

Put them on a launch, a pitch, or a crisis and the room speeds up. Put them in charge of the same territory with no umpire and they will split the team into camps. One should own the start and the other a defined later stage, with credit written down. Two rams and one vague brief is a meeting that never ends.

Where it rubs

Anger is fast and pride is faster. They interrupt, they keep score, and they would rather be right than be close for an afternoon. The damage is usually the sentence said to win, not a hidden motive.
